Well at one point, nearly every qb loses their job. If Peyton Manning has been replaced, everyone can be. Good thing for Dalton, Marvin Lewis is a hardcore moron.

Outside of the first year of his deal, which was last year, his contract is structured such that he makes very little guaranteed. Only 2.8M guaranteed per year.

They could ditch him pretty easily if they were so inclined.

may be turning a corner:

"Dalton can't win prime-time games"
Winning under the lights was a struggle for Dalton in his first four NFL seasons. Dalton went 3-7 with a Total QBR of 26 in games starting at 7 p.m. ET or later from 2011-14. Only Mark Sanchez (17) and Sam Bradford (25) had lower QBRs in prime time over that span.
Dalton’s first prime-time game of the 2015 season was on Thursday night in Week 9 against the Cleveland Browns. That game was almost exactly one year to the day after Dalton’s only other prime-time game against division-rival Cleveland. Dalton’s completion percentage of 30 percent, 2.6 yards per attempt and 3.0 QBR in that 2014 Thursday night game are all career lows for Dalton in any game.
This season's prime-time game against the Browns was a different story.
Dalton set prime-time career highs in completion percentage (78 percent), yards per attempt (8.7) and Total QBR (85) in the Bengals’ 31-10 win over Cleveland. Dalton's previous career-high QBR in a prime-time game was 55 against the Patriots in Week 5 of 2014, a 43-17 loss for the Bengals.

they are a lot thinner at most positions then the Bengals... any more injuries at some key positions will be a real problem for them.. If I thought they were better I would say it... with that being said, I don't like anything about this organization...

I really don't think Dalton has changed much as a player even though that seems to be the narrative. Still a mid-level QB.

Their offense is just stacked. Eifert is finally healthy and 1 of the best TEs, they got the 1-2 backfield punch, Jones is back from that bad injury last year, Green is healthy and their entire OL from last year returned. Huey Jackson is also an underrated coach. He got the Raiders to 8-8 in 2011!

Glad to see he's back to his typical mid to late season form

I say the typical Dalton collapse starts now

At least we won't have to hear anymore MVP talk haha
